WUNDERKAMMER: New Paintings by Joshua Field

WUNDERKAMMER (Translation: Cabinet of Wonders) features recent paintings by Joshua Field. In Renaissance Europe, Wunderkammers were encyclopedic collections of natural objects that inspired wonder and curiosity. Similarly, Field's recent work explores poetic connections between disparate images and references a variety of sources including the Voyager spacecraft, which carried the Golden Record, a 12-inch copper disk containing sounds and images portraying life on Earth.
