Installation and sculptures by Robert Mateo Diago
July 29th through September 20th
Opening Reception with the artist: Saturday, July 31 from 5:30 to 8pm
Unlikely materials and clever wordplay raise questions and stimulate dialogue about homelessness, community, indifference and over-consumption.
Diago, a Dallas, TX-based artist created this body of work over the last seven months based on visions he received in the early morning hours over a two week period. It’s purpose was to combine words, images, and objects which often play a role in the everyday lives of the homeless or which have a direct or indirect correlation with the idea of homelessness as many people understand it.
*10% of sales from this exhibit will be donated to Soldier On; a non-profit organization dedicated to housing homeless veterans.
Limited edition prints and original paintings by the artist will also be available.
